Pulp fiction and Leon the professional review

This is the first post on this topic, I want to do a lot things like this.
I do not want everything to be just about makeup becouse that represents just one side of me, while the other side is something else like music, old movies, books, my collection thing with gramophone records and very wird jewelry.
Today I'm reviewing the two films that came out the same year - 1994. ~ ''Pulp fiction'' and ''Leon the professional''.Hope you will like this kind of posts as much as i do.Enjoy!

Review:
The best part of the movie was the beggining with met Mia Uma Thurman). Her character was free, full of life, but without the opportunity to love someone. She participated in this marathon of sweet life, not knowing when it was time to stop. When she talks about silence we understand what she wants to say and I think that this is my favorite part of this film.

Mia: Don't you hate that?
Vincent: What?
Mia: Uncomfortable silences. Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullshit in order to be comfortable?
Vincent: I don't know. That's a good question.
Mia: That's when you know you've found somebody special. When you can just shut the fuck up for a minute and comfortably enjoy the silence.

I also like that moment of her dance where she is completely relaxed, don't we need to be like that while we're going through life?
Would it be easier for us then? I don't know.

Fact about this film:When the 'Buddy Holly' waiter (Steve Buscemi) asks Mia her if she wants her $5 shake "Martin and Lewis or Amos and Andy?", he's asking if she wants it vanilla or chocolate flavoured. Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis are white entertainers (vanilla), whereas Amos and Andy are black comedians (chocolate).

  • Leon the professional

Category:crime,drama,thriller
Actors:Jean Reno,Natalie Portman,Gary Oldman,Danny Aiello,Peter Appel,Willie One Blood,Don Creech,Keith A. Glascoe,Randolph Scott, Michael Badalucco,Ellen Greene,Elizabeth Regen,Carl J. Matusovich,Frank Senger,Lucius Wyatt Cherokee,Eric Challier,Luc Bernard,Maiwenn,...
Country:USA
Film director:Luc Besson

Review:
I think this is a very sympathetic story about a girl who is growing up very quickly and with Leo(Jean Reno) she create her first love story. She is naive, but she can do and she wants everything and that way she can get that quickness that has been shut down until that moment. A really wonderful story in which one we get a strange set of circumstances that ultimately looks great. My favorite part is the one in which Matilda plays Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin.

Fact about this film:Portman's parents were worried about the smoking scenes in the film. Before they allowed their daughter to sign, they worked out a contract with Besson which had strict mandates on young Natalie's smoking scenes. There could only be five of them; Mathilda couldn't be shown inhaling or exhaling smoke; and the character would quit during the course of the film. All these mandates were followed if you watch the film closely. Mathilda has five smoking scenes, never inhales or exhales, and she stops smoking in the scene outside the Italian restaurant when Leon asks her to: "quit smoking, stop cursing" and don't hang out with "That guy. He looks like a weirdo''.

Do you like this post? Feel free to suggest good movies so I can write this kind of  posts more often!❤
