Trip to Italy part 3 (Venice)

We arrived in Venice by boat and went to St. Mark Square, which is right next to the boat and gondola harbors. Before we went to St. Mark Square, guide showed us a prison that was used earlier and from which prisoner couldn't come out, and the one who went there would rarely left that place;they would just have to waith the death to come. The dungeons were in the basement so when water come up,it would fill the basement and the prisoners would drown. The only man who escaped was Giacoma Casonova, who cheated the guards at the time of a pod under the masks, wearing one,so they couldn't recognized him and some people still thought that on his way out he said "Arrivederci" (goodbye) to the guards.

On St. Mark Square you have Basilica with same name.St. Mark is protector of the city and his trademark is a lion with wings, which you can often see in the city.
At the center they were plenty of people and when rain falls the center is flooded.
°Na trgu Sv. Marka naci cete Baziliku sa istim imenom.Sv.

Near Basilica you can find Palace of time that monitors the movement of the sun and the moon.Below there is a passage through which were led by the paths of Venice.

In Venice you will also see a lot of gondolas that are very expensive (15 min./50€/3,4 people).
/50€/3,4 ljudi)
When i returned to the main square with friend we went to church that we didn't planed to visit and we were shocked, here are the photos.

In the end we visited the Santa Maria della Salute, which has an octagonal base, made after the plague that this city encountered and the translation means Lady of health.

  1. Lovely post with engaging pictures! To be honest - your post reminded me of my last trip to Venice with my spouse and kids. It's like I am reliving the moments spent in this beautiful city. I still recall that our trip was like last-minute planning and we applied for a visa by filling the Italy visa application form from the UK. And, gladly we got in touch with one of the reliable visa companies which got all things sorted for us without causing us any hassle.
